5F-PB-22 (1-pentyfluoro-1H-indole-3-carboxylic acid 8-quinolinyl ester) is a synthetic cannabinoid and agonist of the cannabinoid receptors which produces predominantly sedating subjective effects somewhat similar to that of cannabis. 5F-PB22 also known as 8-?quinolinyl ester-?1-?(5-?fluoropentyl)-?1H-?indole-?3-?carboxylic acid or quinolin-8-yl 1-(5-fluoropentyl)-1H-indole-3-carboxylate, is the latest synthetic cannabinoid, and at present requires no license for use in laboratory research, in the UK.
A key and quite unique feature of the molecular structure of 5F-PB22 is the quinoline-carboxylate formation.

5F-PB-22’s chemical name is 1-(5-fluoropentyl)-8-quinolinyl ester-1H-indole-3-carboxylic acid.  Its molecular formula is C23H21FN2O2 and formula weight is 376.4 g/mol.  It features the same chemical structure as PB-22 with the exception of a single fluorine atom at the terminal carbon of the pentyl chain.
